Cynthia Bailey Claps Back at NeNe Leakes, Says She Needs a ‘Decent Wig’ & ‘More Flattering Makeup’

NeNe Leakes didn’t have the most flattering things to say about her former BFF Cynthia Bailey on Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ earlier this week.
In her new blog for Bravo.com, Cynthia Bailey shared her thoughts on NeNe’s rude remarks.
She writes:
That’s who she is. It’s the same ol’ two step. Embrace the people that are with you and try to destroy the people who are not. I have seen her do it to other ladies on the show (past and present), so although it was disappointing, it was not a big surprise when she did it to me. It’s no secret that NeNe has gotten into it or fallen out (at one time or the other) with mostly all the ladies. My thing is this — if I’m so irrelevant and you don’t want to be my storyline (or should I say me be yours), why spend so much energy talking about me? That energy could have been put to better use looking for a decent wig and a more flattering makeup direction.
Not a ‘decent looking wig’ though.
Cynthia also talks about her journey since the last season, her and her husband’s successful business ventures, and finding new strength in her marriage. You can read the rest of her blog here.

Paying it Forward: This Guy is Doling Out $100 Bills Across America

Paying it Forward: This Guy is Doling Out $100 Bills Across America
A man walks cross-country giving $100 bills to Good Samaritans (Photo: GoFundMe)
If you bump into Tommy Lukrich, it pays to be kind.  Literally.
The recent college grad is giving away $100 bills to generous strangers he encounters while walking — yes, walking — across the country.
The 23-year-old spoke to Yahoo Travel as he completes a journey that began in Seattle in late May.  Averaging 18 to 23 miles per day, he plans to arrive in New York City within the month.
Lukrich says rewarding Good Samaritans along his cross-country trek is his way of paying it forward.
"I’ve had a lot of people who’ve helped me out in times of need, and I wanted to give back," he says. "My idea is to give back to people who are willing to be kind and generous."

The trip also fulfills a long-simmering wanderlust.
"I grew up in Idaho my whole life," Lukrich says. "I haven’t really gotten to travel a lot.  I wanted to see what the rest of the country was like."
Lukrich has so far raised $6,000 through an onlinecrowdfunding campaign.  All of that money is being distributed to strangers who show him kindness.
"There are things I don’t turn down: food, showers and places to stay," Lukrich says.
Why is his token of appreciation a $100 bill instead of a clever business card with a Mother Theresa-like quote about generosity?
"There’s something about a $100 bill that really shocks people," Lukrich says. "It’s enough money to be significant, but it’s not too excessive."
"It also makes for a great story for them in their life," he adds.

Patriots' automated Twitter reply sends out racial slur

The New England Patriots wanted to thank their fans for reaching one million Twitter followers with an automated tweet that showed each fan's Twitter handle on a digital Patriots jersey if they retweeted this message celebrating reaching one million.
The social media department didn't think this one through.
There are some terrible people in the world, and at least one retweeted that message. So one of the tweets that went out from the Patriots account was to a person who uses "IHATE" and a racial slur at the end of that, and that handle with the racial slur on a digital jersey. Here is a censored version:

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post captured the tweet on a screen shot before it was deleted, and it can be seen here with the uncensored racial slur in it.
The Patriots apologized soon after it went out:

Unfortunately this incident will bring attention to the person who figured out he'd be getting this attention, and really it's just unfortunate that he's out there at all. But it's also a large social media fail by the first NFL team to reach one million Twitter followers.

Ex-NBA Player Who Made $11 Million Allegedly Caught With Grenade Launcher At Heroin Dealer's House

Former Seattle Sonics and Oklahoma City Thunder player Robert Swift was charged with unlawful possession of a short-barreled shotgun after police raided the house where he was living, SeattlePI.com reports.
According to police, Swift had a grenade launcher and a sawed-off shotgun in his room at the home of Trygve Bjorkstam, a 54-year-old alleged heroin dealer.
Swift told law enforcement that he was a heroin user but not a dealer, police say. Bjorkstam allegedly told police Swift was not helping him sell drugs.
The house is 100 yards from an elementary school, reports SeattlePI.
From the report:
Known to police as 'Trigg,' Bjorkstam admitted to dealing heroin and meth, and to building a gun range in a bunker he dug under his home to house a marijuana grow, a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent said in court papers. Police describe Bjorkstam, 54, as dejected and contrite following his arrest.
'I should just die,' he told Redmond police, according to court papers. 'My life is over … l'd probably be better off dead.'
Swift's $1.3 million house outside Seattle was foreclosed on last year. He left it covered in feces and bullets, according to the family that bought the house.

Swift was a part of the last wave of high school seniors who jumped straight to the NBA before the league instituted age-limit rules. He was taken 12th overall by the Sonics in 2004 at age 18. He played five years in the NBA, averaging more than 20 minutes per game just once. He made $11.4 million before he fell out of the league in 2009.

MTV Reality Star Diem Brown Dies at 32 (ABC News)
MTV star Diem Browndied Friday after battling cancer for the third time, People magazine reports. She was 32.
Brown had been a longtime blogger for People.com, documenting her brave cancer struggle for the past couple years.
“MTV is tremendously sad to hear the news that Diem Brown has lost her long battle with cancer,” MTV added via a statement. “We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Diem was a true fighter and brought passion to everything she touched. We will miss her.”
Just a couple days ago on Tuesday, the reality star had asked for prayers and advice, tweeting, "my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won't & can't rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I'm grabbing!"
Last month, Brown revealed to People magazine that her latest bout with cancer had spread from her colon to her liver and lymph nodes.
"I was blown away. It really crushed a little bit of my spirit," she said.
After dealing with intense pain and side effects from the chemotherapy, Brown said she was at her lowest point in late October.
"It was such a dark, dark, dark, dark place. I would go in the bathtub and just lay down for hours, with the water running," she added. "I kept getting worse, and I felt like it would never end."
But through it all, Brown never lost her spirit and always stayed positive, even thinking about her post-cancer life.
"I'm going to have a family and get married and the whole American, 2½ kids, white-picket-fence dream," she said. "It's something that's really important to me, because it means a long-term future."
Brown -- who made her MTV debut on "Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat" in 2006, then went on to create MedGift, a website to support others like her fighting serious health issues -- had been dealing with cancer for almost a decade. First with ovarian cancer in 2006 and then again in 2012. She was noticeably surprised when it returned the second time.
"My doctors said there was no way it would come back," she told US Weekly in 2012. "I got a call from the same doctor I had six years ago and he said those same words, they're just as devastating: 'Sorry to tell you, but you have cancer.'"
Then in 2013, she beat cancer once again.
"The call came – the call that made me feel like I had a map leading me out of my maze, doors started lifting up and I was finally let free," she wrote for People.com in February of that year. "That first breath you let out when you get good news feels almost stolen. Your entire body gets weak as if you were holding up this 100-lb. weight over your head and you've finally been told you could drop it. You feel free! Absolutely freaking free!"
But once again, the MTV star was diagnosed with cancer this past August, this time in her colon.
"The Duel" and "The Gauntlet" competitor found out about the news while filming a reality show.
"Doctors found one tumor blocking her colon completely so they had to do emergency surgery that evening to remove the blockage," Brown's sister told People. She had a second surgery three days later.Location
Through it all, it was her MTV family that stood by Brown through her battles.
Earlier last month, Brown posted a photo of a letter she received from a fellow challenge cast member Cara Maria.
"After back tube surgery I opened most thoughtful @CaraMariaMTV letter!," she wrote.
Former MTV host TJ Lavin reached out to see how she was doing, as well.
"Been a tough week but you of all people understand the roller coaster of recovery?? thx for ur support!" she replied.

GEORGE W. BUSH: This Is Why I Refuse To Criticize Obama

AP13042507906
AP/Charles Dharapak President Barack Obama, left, with former President George W. Bush at the dedication of the George W. Bush presidential library.
Former President George W. Bush has a simple explanation for why he almost never criticizes his successor: He feels it undermines the office of the presidency.
In an interview that aired Thursday night on Fox News' "Hannity," Bush insisted he would not attack President Barack Obama even though he continued to have strong opinions about national politics.
"I don't think it's good for the country to have a former president undermine a current president; I think it's bad for the presidency for that matter," Bush said, according to video posted by Mediaite.
Bush, who is promoting his book about his father (former President George H.W. Bush), "41: A Portrait of My Father," also said he had no interest in generating headlines for himself after serving in the country's highest office for eight years.
"Secondly, I really have had all the fame I want," he added. "I really don't long for publicity. And the truth the matter is in order for me to generate publicity ... I'd have to either attack the Republican Party, which I don't want to do, or attack the president, which I don't want to do. And so I'm perfectly content to be out of the limelight."
Though Bush has avoided criticizing the Obama administration, the same can't be said for his former vice president, Dick Cheney, who has repeatedly skewered Obama. Among other things, Cheney called Obama the "worst president of my lifetime."

Police: Dad tried to wake up son left in hot car

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. (AP) — When Kyle Seitz realized he had left his 15-month-old son in a hot car for hours in July, he shrieked and tried to shake the child awake, according to an arrest warrant.
"Oh, my God," he said, returning Benjamin Seitz to the car so he could take him to Danbury Hospital. The toddler died of hyperthermia, the medical examiner found.
The warrant cites witness accounts and records from July 7 when authorities say a confused Seitz forgot to take Benjamin to day care and left him in the car for more than seven hours, Hearst Connecticut Media (http://bit.ly/1vbGxy4 ) reported Friday. Temperatures that day hit the upper 80s.
Seitz was arraigned Wednesday on a misdemeanor negligent homicide charge. He didn't enter a plea and is free on bail until his next court date, which was scheduled for Nov. 21.
"He fully believed he had already dropped off (Benjamin) at day care," the arrest warrant said.
Instead, Seitz drove to work with his son in the back. Co-workers said he spent the morning working as usual, even making a quick trip in the car to a sandwich shop, not realizing Benjamin was in the back.
He returned to work for the rest of the day.
His wife showed up with their two daughters to surprise him and ask him to lunch, but he was too busy. She did not notice where his car was parked in the company lot.
After work, at about 5 p.m., Seitz drove to the day care to pick up his son but was told the child had not been dropped off.
"He began thinking he might have been confused and that they had kept Benjamin home due to the extended holiday weekend," the arrest warrant said.
In the parking lot, he saw his son in the car seat through the window.
"He felt shock and terror," according to the warrant.

Making Money: The Struggle

I'm 25 years old and I've been working on several ways to make money online and offline since I was about 16 years old. My biggest problem was I was a hard sell, I was too smart for my own good, and i researched EVERYTHING. I always boosted about my new adventures but never seemed to follow through so I was targeted by people who were apart of these MLM companies thinking I would be an easy sell, well i pounded their heads with facts, but I did more research on MLM companies and as shady as most of them may be at the end of the day if you follow their hard to find rules you can and will make money plenty of people do.

So I was thinking If I were to create a draft who would get involved? I actually have my own MLM company still in development stage but i wanted to test the waters with an already established company. So let me run down how the draft will work I will not reveal the MLM company until I week before the draft. We will boost about the draft and get as many people involved as possible (it will be FREE to join) once we have lets say a minimum of 500-1000 people we will do the draft everytime you complete a action to promote the draft or refer someone to enter the draft your name will be entered multiple times the night before draft day everyone who has entered the draft will have to pay no more than $100 (the reason you pay before you know where you end up on the list is so that nobody backs out if they don't get the spot they want) some will be at the top and of course a few will be at the bottom but everyone will have the tools, skills, and knowledge to succeed in that particular MLM they will also still have many opportunities to make money through my various programs such as this blog and the secret shopper program....I need 20 people to take this opportunity serious and who want to actually make the MLM money you've probably been searching for so let me know below your thoughts and if you are interested in this opportunity inbox me on facebook http://www.facebook.com/thaynescomputernerd

Loved Crazed

The rain is pouring down outside and here I am watching cartoons alone, and all that ran through my mind was I wonder what my beautiful crush was doing, as bad as she was probably with a boyfriend, and even though I knew she had to be taken I couldn’t stop thinking about those long legs, waist that was just right, those breast that she always showed just the top of no matter what kind of shirt she was wearing and hair touching the middle of her back you’d swear she bought. Man she was beautiful and way out of my league I was 5’6 the only muscle I had were shirts I was a nerd in school and it’s the same way in the real world the only thing I really had going for me was a nice low haircut and my smooth medium brown complexion, I knew I looked good just wish my confidence was the same, a woman like her would never be with a guy like me so all I could do is dream, imagine what it would be like if I could just get her alone, lay her on my king size bed hold her arms above her head and kiss her neck *knock knock*
What the hell who is that at my door, I hop out of bed throw on a t-shirt and slip into some slippers I always where when I’m home, dammit its Warrens the furniture company I’m renting my stuff from, maybe if I’m quiet they won’t know I’m here. “We know you in there Haiden” I heard one of them say I recognized him because he was the one who delivered the stuff. I kept quiet and didn’t move, soon I thought I heard them walking back towards the stairs muttering something I couldn’t make out, I decided to stay still a little while longer just to be sure. I walk over to my window as quietly as I could I look out and realize the truck is gone, “phew” I can relax I know they won’t be back for a few days but either way I got to come up with some cash I’m almost two months behind. My life has really fallen off track since I got fired, all because of a few call ins. I laid back in my bed staring at the ceiling replaying what happened in my mind and wondering how could I be so stupid.

It was a cloudy day looked like it would rain but never did and then I saw her the baddest dark chocolate female I had ever laid my eyes on thicker that I’d ever dated but her shape almost got me on hard right there in front of the shoe store at the mall she came over to me and tried to upsell some phone service company I wasn’t paying much attention to it and out of nowhere like someone else had said it I heard “ill think about it if I could get your number” she laughed and I just smiled and said “im for real” so she grabbed my phone and put her number in” I walked off in total shock from looking at me people assume I’m a ladys man a player when in fact I have the hardest time talking to females I textd her right then in there and for the next year and a half we were inseparably . thinking about some of those times have me still wondering how it all went wrong, it had been almost 9 months since we broke up and I still haven’t recovered.
*beep beep* alarm clock, I hadn’t even realized I fell asleep, what time is it? 7am time for the job hunt to begin. After losing my last job I kinda got picky wanted to make just as much as I did then but I’m realizing I may just have to settle, I find some black slacks with a baby blue button down top slide on my loafers, I stared at myself in the mirror as I brushed my hair “I can do this, today I will find a job” I told myself that out loud but in the back of my mind I didn’t believe it myself, grabbed my keys and a apple out the fridge and out the door I went. I didn’t hit the parking lot without first checking to make sure nobody I owed was waiting, when I was sure the coast was clear I walked over to my freshly washed all black 4 door sedan and started it up. I hit main street first I knew they typically are hiring first of every month and with Thanksgiving right around the corner maybe id get lucky.

I was in luck first place I seen when I hit main st had a now hiring sign called Ashley’s Pizzeria, I parked my car to the side of the brick building and walked in with confidence you could see in my steps, the placed smelled of fresh cheese and something sweet that smelled delicious. “Is a manager in” I asked a short blonde haired girl that was wiping down the counters, without saying a word to me she turned and walked off, after a few minutes a lady that stood about 5’5 with honey blonde weave came up to the counter she spoke but I couldn’t hear what she was saying, she was so light I couldn’t tell what race she was, I shook myself back to reality, yes I saw your now hiring sign” I said, “aw yes” she said as she pulled an application from under the counter what type of position were you looking for” a supervisor or management position I’d prefer but I’m open” do you have any experience and with slight hesitation I told her no but I do have a degree in science I’m sorry your over qualified she said with a stern look as she started sliding the application back under the counter” please ma’am I’m desperate I just need to make some extra money I’m very hard worker” well we do have a driver position for immediate hire do you have a driver’s license and insurance? Yes ma’am I do” she pulled the app back out and told me to fill it out, as I turned and walked to a booth I could feel her staring at me, but when I turned around she wasn’t even at the counter anymore “okay chill out Haiden you buggin”. As I sat their filling out my application you’d think I’d got sucked into a movie out the corner of my eye I see my beautiful crush walk through the front door my mouth dropped she had on some blue jean skinnies and some kind of grey Madonna top her hair had been curled and she looked better than ever, as she stood at the counter waiting to be serviced I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to jump up and run out or go over and speak to her it was the first time I had ever seen her by herself, my mind was racing what to do get up and go or go over and speak. Without a second thought I stood up and ran out the door, when I reached my car I could barely believe how chicken I was, I tucked my shirt back in and walked back in the store and there she stood talking to the short blonde haired girl like she hadn’t even realized I had ever been in the store let alone just ran out like I stole something,

I waited a little ways back from her til the cashier walked away to start her order, my crush leaned back on the counter and started texting on her phone, I walked up to her “ppl usual dnt order pizza this early in the morning” I said she looked me up and down like she was trying to process if I was even worth a response “I was putting in a order for later” she said and she looked me in my face and look intrigued, I knew then I had a chance and this was it “oh ok party later, we sharen or nah?” “naw” she said in a playful tone , well in case I happen to crash yo party on accident you should probably know my name its Haiden” she laughed” and reached out for my hand which was extended to shake hers “my names titi” oh ok that’s cute” I said letting her hand go even though I wanted to hold it forever. I tore off a piece of my application and wrote my name and number down and as I handed it to her I said “well call me in case you really do wanna invite me” with a smile of confidence that quickly faded she returned my gesture with a “naw” without even realizing it had came out my mouth I said “what” in a tone that sounded more hurt that shocked, she handed me her phone and said “just put it in” I laughed it off and as I was texting myself from her phone the cashier came back up and just as she turned to get her receipt I clicked on her facebook app typed in my name and sunt myself a request, she turned getting ready to leave so I handed her her phone and said don’t “forget about me”

Substitute Teacher Calls Middle School Students The N-Word

According to the students, Mea & Zaria along with two others were working as a group when the teacher referred to them as “African-American.”
The eighth graders disagreed, informing the teacher that they weren’t from Africa.

“All four of us that were sitting there got offended because none of us are from
Africa,” Mea told NBC Chicago. “I’m Jamaican. So we said, ‘Can you please not call us that?’”
Mea continues:

“She continued to call us that and said, ‘It’s the politically correct term.’ Then she said, ‘Well, back then you guys would be considered the N-word.”

The students said they were disgusted hearing the racial slur used by a teacher in the classroom.
“We were so shocked and we were like, ‘What? Excuse me?'” said Thompson. “She was like, ‘Well, back then that’s what African Americans were called.'”

It didn’t stop there. The students say the teacher used the N-word several more times during the 80-minute class, also referring to them as slaves. One student threw down her books and started crying.
“I just want people to know how much it affected us and I don’t want this to happen to anybody else,” said student Zaria Daniel.

The school district has confirmed the teacher had been interviewed and corroborated the girls’ version of what happened. She will not be asked back to the school.
But Thompson’s mother, Shayna Thompson, says the punishment isn’t enough.

“After the shock and hurt, I’m angry,” she said. “It’s a new world, and the people of the past that still hang onto hatred and bigotry don’t belong in this world anymore.”

She said she is looking into whether the teacher can be charged with disorderly conduct or if the incident could be considered a hate crime.

We think the teacher should get her right to substitute revoked completely. Her behavior is completely 100% unacceptable and has no place inside a classroom — anywhere.
